Floor Types

These Robotic Vacuum cleaners can work on various types of floors such as hard flooring, carpets, rugs, marble and tile flooring. The higher end more expensive robot Vacuums can deal with high pile carpets while the lower priced budget type robotic vacuums are not suitable for high pile carpets – only small to medium pile carpets. The type of floor will also deplete the battery differently in that medium pile carpets can reduce the battery to 40 minutes of cleaning in some cases while the hardwood floors can provide longer 100+ minutes and more of vacuum cleaning for you.

Best Robotic Vacuum Cleaners UK – Top 5 Recommendations

1, Samsung Jet Bot Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Our first recommendation based on our reviewed results would have to be the Samsung Jet Bot Robot Vacuum Cleaner which provides you with everything you need and more for a hassle free, easy to use vacuum cleaning experience. This robotic vacuum can be used on laminate flooring, hard floors, carpets and rugs and it comes with the LiDAR sensor tracking to clean selected rooms throughout your home

It takes approximately 4 hours to charge the unit and it will work from 60 minutes to 90 minutes depending on the settings you choose. It returns to the docking station for recharging automatically, the battery has the low battery indicator light, and the filter can be washed when needed according to the guidelines set out in the instruction manual. It also has the Intelligent Power control where it can adjust the power of the suction depending on the level of dirt and dust to be cleaned.

You have the option to select specific rooms which increases the efficiency of the vacuum, and the self-cleaning extractors work great to prevent any hair getting tangled around the brush head. The dustbin capacity is 0.4L, the noise level is 76dB and it weights slightly less than 4kg coming in at only 3.85kg total. The overall performance of this robotic vacuum cleaner is highly impressive, it can be controlled using your smart device and it comes backed with a 2-year warranty for peace of mind.

2, Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

For pet hairs, multi floor mapping and twin turbine 2-in-1 vacuuming, a robotic vacuum that we would like to recommend is the Eufy RoboVac X8 Hybrid Cordless Vacuum Cleaner which you should be able to get your hands on for less than £550 when seen at the time of this review. This robotic vacuum can be used on wood flooring, hard floors plus various carpet and rug surfaces such as wool, deep pile and regular carpet size densities.

What stands out here is the twin turbine technology and the IPath navigation laser technology which is able to map out the best routes for cleaning and the areas that require further work than others. The level of suction and deep cleaning is quite impressive overall, and the twin turbines really do an awesome job in getting the dust, dirt and hairs removed from the floor giving you a fabulous clean finish.

It can be used on marble, tiles, upholstery, wood, carpets and vinyl so there is plenty of flexibility in terms of its capabilities. The charging time at the dock takes 5 hours, it can then operate for 150 to 180 minutes plus the filter inside can be washed when needed. It’s a 2 in 1 vacuum so it can mop for 140 minutes using 250ml of water also. Included in the package are disposable mopping cloths, cable ties, side brushes, additional filters, the charging dock base and or course the AC power adaptor. The noise level is slightly lower at 60dB, and it uses AI mapping technology for each floor of your home

3, Eufy Boost IQ RoboVac 11S MAX Vacuum Cleaner

For a lower priced Robotic vacuum, another robot vacuum cleaner than we really liked was the Eufy Boost IQ RoboVac 11S MAX Vacuum Cleaner which also has the self-charging dock station, and you should be able to get your hands on it for less than £350 when seen at the time of this review. It is designed for carpets and hard floors such as wood and tiles but please note this model works better on medium pile carpets rather than deeper piled carpets.

This robotic vacuum is a small and lighter unit weighing approx. 2.5kg only so it is considerably lighter than the previous 2 options already mentioned. That being said, it still works great around the home giving you excellent cleaning results time and time again. It is controlled by a remote instead of your smart device and the battery can run anywhere from 75 to 100 minutes depending on the settings you choose. The level of suction is also lower at 2000Pa but it can still do a great job in cleaning your floors at a lower price range level than the previous options already outlined.

It’s also a lot smaller and thinner than you think so the noise level is also a lot more bearable (less than 3 inches).  One of the things we really like was the BoostIQ technology where it can automatically adjust the power of the suction to adapt to its environment and the level of dust and dirt it needs to remove for you.

It has the drop sensing technology, so it won’t fall down the stairs, it automatically recharges itself in the dock station and included in the box are the 4 side brushes, cable ties, charging base, power adaptor plus an extra filter set. Overall, we would have to say that this is a great value budget robot vacuum cleaner option and of course it comes with a 12-month warranty.

4, Proscenic 850T Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Another great value robotic cleaner that we really liked is the Proscenic 850T Robot Vacuum Cleaner that also provides great value for the money and comes at a more affordable price range for many more families. As it comes with a much lower price range, it is suited more for low pile carpets rather than medium and high pile carpets. That being said, it offers a strong suction power of 3000Pa and it can be controlled with the remote, Amazon Alexa and Google assistant.

Once the battery starts to deplete, it will return to the recharging docking station for recharging which can take anywhere from 50 to 60 minutes on average. Instead of the Wi-fi navigation, you get the boundary strips which take some time to set up initially but is very manageable all the same. The main attraction here also is the ability to mop and vacuum at the same time so all you need to do is add a small quantity of water to the water tank and let it do its thing (mopping cloths and side brushes are included)

The noise level emitted is on the lower end at 60dB and the weight of the unit is 5kg which is just about average. The capacity of the water tank is just a half litre and you can expect the battery to last anywhere from 100 to 120 minutes depending the on the settings and floor surface. It is controlled by the remote, you have the boundary magnetic strips, side brushes, 2 mopping cloths plus the 2 filters and of course the power adaptor and the charging station.

One last point worth noting is this brand have become well established with positive feedback as they have over 500 million customers worldwide and they sell in over 90 countries globally which of course includes the UK.

5, Lefant M210 Robot Vacuum Cleaner

Last on our list today is another budget lower priced robotic vacuum cleaner and it’s the Lefant M210 Robot Vacuum Cleaner and you should be able to get your hands on it for less than £250 when seen at the time of this review. Many robotic vacuum cleaners have dustbins with 0.3L capacity but this model has a capacity of 0.5L so you should only have to change it every 5 to 7 days on average.

This robotic vacuum can be controlled both by the remote and also with your smart device App or Alexa so there is lots of flexibility when it comes to controlling this device. Suction power is lower though at 1800Pa but again the lower price more than makes up for it plus it has the cleaner mop integrated into the vacuum, so you have a spotless floor surface all done for you while you sit back and relax – 1 less household chore for you to look after

Avoiding tangled hair on the brush is completed with the brushless nozzle and the various cleaning modes help with planning, edging, fixed points and corner work or you can leave it just at the automatic mode which works perfectly fine on its own. When the battery starts to run low, it will return to the charging dock station and once fully recharged, it can operate from 70 to 100 minutes depending on the modes and floor surfaces being cleaned.

The tangle free suction is particularly good here when it comes to pet hairs, it operates in a zig-zag cleaning path mode plus it has the ant-collision sensors for avoiding delicate furnishings and also anti-dropping sensors when it comes to steps and stairs. While it is not the most powerful or high-tech robotic vacuum cleaner you will see, it still is an excellent choice when it comes to performance, reliability and value for money.
